Underground directional drilling

Underground directional drilling is a technique in which a drilling rig is used to drill a horizontal hole underground, from an entry point to an exit point. The hole is then used to place or replace cables or pipes without the need for major excavation. This is also known as trenchless drilling because it does not require digging trenches in the ground. This is particularly advantageous in urban areas, where above-ground digging can cause traffic congestion, inconvenience to residents and disruption to existing infrastructure.
