UXOscope. Safe drilling with bomb detection.

  • Bomb detection whilst drilling; no pre-drill surveys needed

  • Securing a cleared zone during drilling

  • Minimal disturbance to surrounding areas

To drill safely in areas where there might be unexploded bombs, Brownline has developed an innovative detection system called the UXOscope. We can offer this as an additional service when drilling with the Drillguide Gyro Steering Tool.

How does the UXOscope work?

The UXOscope scans the environment of the drill head for explosives whilst drilling. Our surveyor and a certified specialist of Van den Herik work together to assist our clients with such high risk drills.

When the UXOscope detects an object that could be an unexploded ordnance, the specialist will make an assessment of the threat and advise the client on the next steps.

Which bores are possible?

Our services are currently mandated by authorities when drilling operations are planned in high-risk areas.

With UXOscope, drilling contractors can safely carry out their operations, ensuring a cleared diameter of 2 meter around the pilot hole. This approach allows all activities to proceed in a secure and controlled manner.

Above and below ground activities can continue as usual, minimizing disturbance to the surroundings.
